FAQ
WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?
No matter if you're participating in Gi or No Gi, having equipment you are comfortable in is important. In gi, you will need a gi (uniform) and belt. These can be found in any number of online stores in a wide range of prices, but for beginners, we suggest a basic gi like the one found here until you know what is comfortable for you and what you're looking for. In no gi, rashguards and spats and/or grappling shorts are suggested for a comfortable and secure fit.
WHAT AGE DO YOU HAVE TO BE TO PARTICIPATE?
For our Kids classes, we request a child be over the age of 3 to be a part of the 3-5 year old class. It is much more important that the child is toilet trained and that you as the parent think the child has the maturity to participate in the 30 minutes class.
Our hour long class is for kids 5 -12 years old. Participants 13 years of age and older will be included in the adult class.

For our adults, there is no age limit! Whether you're a teen, 20, 30, 40 something or 80 years young, there is never a bad time to start Jiu Jitsu!
DO YOU HAVE WATER AND SNACKS?
We have water bottles for our participants. We ask that you utilize the provided bin to discard of your used bottles. We do not have snacks at this time. If you find you need to fuel up before or after class, you are more than welcome to bring your banana, power bar, or other food items from home! Staying properly fueled and hydrated is a very important part of fitness.
DO I NEED TO HAVE PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE?
NO! We all have to start sometime. We understand starting something new can be intimidating, but we also know exactly what it feels like to walk through the gym doors the first time, so we promise to do everything we can to make your experience as pleasant and informative as we can.
